This Cookie Policy explains how TM Profits Solutions Ltd (Republic of Cyprus), operating the brand PointsAssessment ("we," "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies on pointsassessment.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can remember things between page views — for example, which version of a page you were shown. "Similar technologies" include things like local storage and tracking pixels that do a comparable job. We group what we use into the categories below.

Cookies we set ourselves (first-party)

  • `pa_variant` — strictly necessary / functional. When you arrive, we randomly show you one of two versions of our page (an "A/B test") and store which version you saw in this cookie so you keep seeing the same one and our visit counts stay accurate. It contains only the letter "A" or "B" — no personal information. It lasts up to 90 days.
  • `captain_key` — strictly necessary. Used only to keep the site owner signed in to our private internal dashboard. It is never set for ordinary visitors.

We also count page views and button clicks by page version to measure how our own site performs.

Analytics and advertising cookies (third-party)

These are non-essential cookies and similar technologies set by third parties to help us understand our traffic and measure and target our advertising. Where the law requires your consent first (for example, for visitors in the EU/EEA/UK), we will not set them until you agree.

  • Google Analytics. Measures how visitors find and use our site (pages viewed, time on site, general location, device/browser) so we can improve it. Set by Google under its own policies.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram). Lets us measure the results of our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show relevant ads to people like our visitors. Set by Meta under its own policies.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag. Lets us measure the results of our ads on LinkedIn and reach a relevant professional audience. Set by LinkedIn under its own policies.

These tools may set cookies that recognize your browser across other websites for advertising measurement and targeting. Depending on where you live, this may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under your local privacy law — see the "Your choices" section below and Section 10 of our Privacy Policy for how to opt out.

Cookies set at checkout and payment

When you click through to buy an assessment, you are taken to our checkout, which is hosted by GoHighLevel, and payment is handled by Stripe. Those providers may set their own cookies on their pages to operate the checkout securely and prevent fraud. Their cookies are governed by their own policies.

Your choices

  • Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the pa_variant cookie will not stop you from using the site, though your experience may be slightly less consistent.
  • Opt out of analytics and advertising cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser opt-out add-on, and you can manage ad personalization in your Meta and LinkedIn account settings. You can also email hello@pointsassessment.com to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
  • Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control. Where the law requires us to honor a recognized browser opt-out signal (such as Global Privacy Control) as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, we will honor it.
  • Consent (EU/EEA/UK visitors). Where consent is legally required for non-essential cookies — including the analytics and advertising cookies above — we will not set them until you agree, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy as our site changes. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
