Affiliate & Referral Disclosure

Last updated: 2 June 2026

PointsAssessment is a brand operated by TM Profits Solutions Ltd (Republic of Cyprus). This disclosure explains every way we may earn money in connection with our service and the recommendations and referrals we make, in plain language, as required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 C.F.R. Part 255).

How PointsAssessment makes money

PointsAssessment earns revenue in two ways, and we want you to understand both before you work with us.

1. The assessment fee. You pay a one-time fee for your Points Strategy Assessment — your conversation with Claire, our AI Card Strategist, plus the written assessment you receive afterward, reviewed by a member of our team.

2. Affiliate commissions. Many credit card issuers and affiliate networks pay a referral commission when a new customer applies for, or is approved for, a card through a tracked link. When your assessment includes an "apply" link and you use it, PointsAssessment may receive such a commission. This is standard practice across the credit card content industry.

What this means for you

  • You never pay more. Affiliate commissions are paid by the card issuer or network, not by you. The card terms you receive are the same whether you apply through our link or directly with the issuer.
  • Commissions do not buy a recommendation. We are not paid to feature any particular card, and no issuer can pay us to be recommended. Our assessment process — the questions Claire asks and the way the assessment is built — is independent of which cards happen to carry an affiliate commission.
  • Our incentives are aligned with yours. We get paid our assessment fee whether or not you apply for anything. A recommendation that does not fit your spending leads to an unhappy customer, a refund, and no commission. We only recommend cards that genuinely match the spending profile you describe.
  • Not every recommendation carries a commission. If the best card for your situation is one we cannot earn a commission on, we will still recommend it and tell you to apply directly with the issuer.

Referrals to partners

From time to time, when we believe another company's product or service could genuinely help your business — for example, bookkeeping, AI-implementation, software, or other specialist services that fall outside what we do — we may refer you to a third-party partner. We may receive a referral fee or commission from that partner if you become their customer, at no extra cost to you. As with our card recommendations:

  • We only refer partners we believe are a genuine fit for your situation.
  • A referral fee never makes you pay more than you would going to the partner directly.
  • You are never obligated to use a partner we suggest, and declining has no effect on the service you receive from us.
  • These referrals are not financial, legal, or professional advice, and we are not responsible for the products, services, or conduct of any third-party partner. Your dealings with a partner are solely between you and that partner.

Endorsements and testimonials

Any customer testimonials, reviews, or success stories we publish reflect the genuine experience of real customers. We do not pay for testimonials. Individual results vary — the rewards a business can unlock depend on its spending, the cards it qualifies for, and how it uses them. Past results described by other customers are not a promise of your results.

Not financial advice

PointsAssessment is a publisher and consulting service. We educate business owners about credit card rewards strategy. We are not financial advisors or investment advisors, and nothing in our assessments is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. See our Disclaimer and Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.
